Doctor Visit this Morning

Hi! Here's a quick update from our appointment this morning.

• Baby is doing well and her heartbeat is 150 beats per minute.
• Baby has dropped, and her head is down.
• I am 1 centimeter dilated.
• I'm 50% effaced.

So this just means that we can praise God that everything looks good, and my body is already preparing for labor!

Shower in St. Louis and Some Preliminary Nursery Pictures

This past Saturday we went to a wonderful baby shower hosted by Pete's aunts in St. Louis!

When we get the nursery fully ready I promise I will post more pictures. :) I can't wait to organize all the toys and books we got at the showers. Our baby is going to have lots of fun books to choose from!

35 weeks

This past weekend we had the pleasure of a visit from my mom who brought some baby stuff from Georgia and helped us organize the nursery. We really enjoyed having her here!

On Sunday we got to resume our Bradley class. It was nice to be able to focus on the birth and feel better prepared. It was fun to be there with a few other couples too.

We are looking forward to being in St. Louis this upcoming weekend for a baby shower and seeing a lot of Pete's family!

Finally Home

Even though we went from 70 degrees and sunny, to 12 degrees arriving in a snow storm, we are glad to be home. On our journey home we had several enjoyable stops along the way.

One of them was at my parents home where we had a wonderful baby shower hosted by some women from my home church. I had a great time visiting with people I hadn't seen in awhile and felt very blessed by the gifts. After the shower, Pete and I had some good time with my family watching the super bowl.

The next day we traveled to Louisville to visit our good friends from college Mike and Hanell Scheutz, and then stay with our other good friends Kevin and Lauren Cowart. It was so fun to catch up with old friends and spend time with them!

We arrived home on Tuesday night and had dentist appointments on Wednesday morning. This morning we had our first prenatal appointment since before Christmas. I was anxious to go to make sure everything was alright. It turns out that all looks good, and I go back in 2 weeks.

Our due date is fast approaching- 5 weeks from this coming Saturday!

Today is my mom's birthday! We still need to figure out what our baby will call her grandparents... maybe we'll do a poll on that soon. :)

Today was a nice day out so we decided to do a little photo shoot. This is us in Daytona at 34 weeks... 6 more weeks to go!!
